Let the personalizing continue! This month I am personalizing my kitchenware to give my dishes a little more pizazz and personality. This week I tackled my glass tumblers, which had just been plain, old glass tumbler/wine glasses. This time, I went for bright, fun color to add life to clear glassware. Shapes and patterns are probably the best way to go with this project but don't be afraid to cut loose and go for it! Let's get started.

Supplies:

  1. Set of glass tumblers/stemless wineglasses.
  2. Ceramic Paints (go to your local craft store)
  3. Paintbrush
  4. Rubbing Alcohol

Steps:

  1. Wipe down each surface with rubbing alcohol to have a clean surface.

  2. Paint on your design. I chose to go with a polka dot motif by stippling with the paintbrush in a red, orange, and yellow color scheme. Get creative with it; the possibilities are endless!
  3. Follow the directions on the paints. My paint set instructed to let the paint sit at room temperature for four days to dry.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes to permanently set the paint. I was nervous to do this, but the glassware came out of the oven just fine!
  5. Once cooled, fill up your glass with some wine, orange juice, or in my case, milk. (These have been great for milk and cookies!)
